EIBN supported the Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) and the Indonesian Embassy in Rome in collaboration with the Italian Trade Agency (ITA), in the Indonesia Investment Day. The event was held at the Excelsior Hotel Gallia Piazza Duca D'Aosta, in Milano, Italy, on Monday, 7 September 2015.
Within the fringes of the EXPO 2015, the event brought together around 120 Italian and Indonesian stakeholders -- including business representatives and high-level figures -- looking to boost trade and investment between both countries. During the official ceremony, the BKPM and ITA signed an MoU in their promise to strengthen economic and political ties.
EIBN was actively present throughout the Indonesia Investment Day, endorsing the promotion of Indonesia as a business destination while providing concrete opportunities and guided assistance. This was also the first occasion in which the EU-Indonesia Trade Cooperation Facility (TCF, that assists BKPM in the implementation of its EU Desk) and the EIBN (two EU supported initiatives) joined efforts in Europe towards informing EU SMEs on how they can better enter and succeed in the Indonesian market, leading to a very successful outcome.
Finally, many participants showed significant interest in taking part in the upcoming EU-ASEAN Business Days matchmaking event on 29-30 September at the EXPO 2015 (Milan). EIBN will again be present with its booth and informing EU SMEs, taking part in a panel where it will share its success as an EU business initiative in ASEAN. For more information please click here.
